Field Notes

Description:

Female. White upper-side and yellow-cream underside with black tips on the forewing. Two black spots in the center of upper-side wings indicate it is a female. Males have only one black spot. It is a close relative to the large white.

Habitat:

Spotted at an open pine-tree and holm-oak forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas, Madrid.
