Hey Christy! 27 March 2012, I revisited the site of this photo at HMP -- no egret nest. So I think it's safe to say the egret was resting, not nesting.
I'm not sure whether the egret was nesting or resting, Christy. I'll let you know after my next visit to the park.
That is wonderful!!! I've never seen them sitting on the nest! Beautiful pic!
