Field Notes

Description:

These mushrooms had bright yellow caps and stems that were covered with a granular coating. The stipe had a slight basal swelling. The gills are usually yellow-white, but these had changed to a dull tan from age.

Habitat:

Growing on rotting wood in a mixed forest.
