Field Notes

Description:

small (I'm guessing 2.5 to 3 inches). Hiding in shallow creek. Quickly submerged and swam away when I tried to get closer.
Based on habitat, behavior, pointed snout, and the markings on the head (the two lines visible near the eye), I think it is a southern leopard frog, which is common in my area.

Habitat:

In a little creek in woods behind my house, in suburban area

Notes:

Tried to catch it and get better pictures, but it got away
