Field Notes

Description:

This black and white bee was digging a burrow when I noticed dirt flicking. I managed to get two shots showing the tip of the abdomen before it went deeper inside and didn't come out for at least 5 min.

Habitat:

Dirt hillside in chaparral

Notes:

I believe this will be its nesting burrow.
