Field Notes
Description:
Up to 4.5cm in size, its colour varies from light brown to a rich olive-green with a series of large, darker splotches and often a narrow pale stripe running down its back.
Its call is a very rapid “uk-uk-uk-uk” repeated at intervals.
Habitat:
An adaptable species found throughout the eastern regions of Australia, usually sheltering near water. It is often the first frog to take advantage of new dams, ditches and water-covered areas.
