Field Notes

Description:

shelf like, bright orange underneath, drab brownish orange on top (last photo)

Habitat:

dead tree, temperate forest

Notes:

I spotted these fungi in Foping Reserve. Due to their bright color I saw them from a distance in the forest while walking along a trail. They grew high up on the tree and it was easier to photograph them from below. The photo showing them from above is not great because I was trying to balance up high and get a photo of them at the same time.
