Description:

Found this small shrew in our perennial bed. Maybe a feral cat killed it but it wasn't bloody - so maybe a natural death? Largest Shrew in North America Length:96-127mm (3.75 to 5 inch) Uses poison gland to paralyse prey (snails and earthworms). Eats 50% of its own weight daily.

Habitat:

Woodland and rough gardens.
