Description:

Peregrine falcons have dark heads and white throats. The back and wings are usually bluish black to slate grey. This bird of prey is built for speed with long pointed wings and a long narrow tail.

Habitat:

Spotted surveying over a marsh area at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.
