Description:

Since my 3 years old, I go to the Parque das Nações in Lisbon, and had never seen one of these. Red eyes, huge yellow paws. It was the size of a seagull. I was very glad to met this bird, but what specie is it? It is normal to be here?

Emilie, you're looking at a website for mostly North America and occasionally South America. Black-crowned Night Herons have a very large range.
Portugal doesn't seem to be within its normal range, according to: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/black-crowned_night-heron/id
So beautiful, and great capture with the fish. I didn't know they occurred in Portugal too.
The portuguese common name is "Goraz"
This spotting could go in the Hunters and Animal Feeding Behavior mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8463465
