Definitly a katydid, mantises don't have those long antennae.
Altha, this is a truly amazing insect! However, I am pretty sure this is a type of Katydid (notice the lack of raptorial front legs and the ovipositor at the end of the abdomen, yours appears to be female). Check out Family Tettigoniidae. I wish I was more familiar with the species in your area. This one is stunning!
