It is almost always a male bird that does this kind of obsessive pecking at his own refection. They can spend hours at it, even continuing on successive days. They use windows, mirrors, hubcaps, bottles, just about anything that will give a refection. I can't decide if it is a male aggression behavior or a kind of avian homosexuality.
