Field Notes

Description:

Large wading bird with black wings and fluffy white neck.

Habitat:

Hunting along with ibises and egrets etc., in a flooded field by the side of the highway.

Notes:

According to Wikipedia, IUCN lists it as Vulnerable.
Lifer. Apparently it is also found in India but I have not seen one before.
