Large fleshy pale blue & red colored mushroom. See second photo for size comparison with my hiking boot.

Habitat:

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN

This is a lovely fungus. I believe it may be a ganoderma as well. They do acquire odd coloring as they age. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7079649
Keith, the red is just park of the natural coloration of the fungus though I admit it does look a lot like blood. Thanks Jacob, I will do some more research!
It appears as if it fell off a tree. I would check Ganoderma sp. first.
Is that animal blood on the mushroom?
