Field Notes

Description:

Bracket fungus. Pumpkin, rust and brown rings on the cap. Fine, cream colored pores.

Habitat:

Substrate is rotten tree with gray bark. Moderate shade.

Notes:

Possibly a Trametes sp.?

There's a spider on the underside of the cap in photo #3 and a different one on top of the cap in photo #5.

Definitely bracket, no idea after that. Not a fungus expert. ;)
