Field Notes

Description:

Chocolate chip seastars (A.K.A horned seastars) are brown or mocha colored, and can be found in the indo-pacific region. Many can be found in the waters of the philippines.

Habitat:

Warm shallow waters with suitable conditions where there are not much predators.

Notes:

I picked this choco chip seastar in the water then took a quick pic, since they cannot live out of water for a long period of time, I immediately returned it to the water. It was a wonderful experience.
