Description:

During the low tide, these appears as whitish-greyish highly conical shells, up to 3 to 4 cm in diameter - because of their conical domes, in French they are sometimes called "chinese hats".

Habitat:

Common attached to rocks in intertidal zone, on shores in Brittany and Normandy, northern France.
