Description:

About 24mm wingspan; complex but attractive patterns of pink, ornage, black, white on both fore and hind wings.

Habitat:

Under very strong lights at night in suburban car lot.

This looks like Chrysolarentia sp. (Geometridae; Larentiinae - Carpets) Maybe the bright carpet C. hedylepta I find these very tricky and frustrating, but I'm sure its a very pretty moth all the same.

Thanks Antonio. Yes it should be moth season here but there's so little life around. It's a drought. We visit some very strong lights at night time near the forest to find anything. Not much tho.
