It is amazing that the snake can gobble up something so big.
Thanks Jemma, i actually have a pic of one of our male Suni in my spottings, also known as "livingstones antelope"
http://thewebsiteofeverything.com/animals/mammals/Artiodactyla/Bovidae/Neotragus/Neotragus-moschatus.html found a description of Suni. Suni's are easily detecteble because they communicate mainly thru smell with their herd.they also leave scent on trees. Snakes have a sharp sense of smell.
What is a suni? BTW ,Welcome to Project Noah!
My worry is that it got one of our Suni, looks about the right size. We don't have many on the property and we are trying to grow their numbers!
The African rock python feeds on a variety of large rodents, monkeys, warthog, antelopes, fruit bats, monitor lizards and even crocodiles in forest areas and on rats, poultry, dogs and goats in suburban areas.[
Awesome find! Pictures like this always make me wonder what they just made a meal of!
lol yes and the middle of the road is not the best!
Hmm.. looking for somewhere safe and warm to digest dinner I think. Good spotting.
