Field Notes

Description:

Bald eagles are uncommon but not unheard of in Rhode Island. I spotted this one flying over a nature preserve, but this is the only shot I got of it. I didn't realize what it was until I looked at all the photos afterward.

Habitat:

This one was flying high overhead near the ocean.

Notes:

This is the first time I've ever seen a bald eagle in the wild.
