Field Notes

Description:

This plant completely lacking in chlorophyll. It is mostly white with purple streaks

Habitat:

At the base of birch trees in Acadia National Park. These were very plentiful, but most were past their prime.

Notes:

I recently learned these are pollinated by an ant, Prenolepis imparis
