Description:

Ginger colored beefly. Wings have dark band with clear tips.

Habitat:

Few found on the sand at the edge of Lake Lewisville.

It is a Bee Fly (Family Bombyliidae) Possibly (Bombylius major) the Greater Bee Fly. But I can't tell for sure on this one.
