I think you're right on the id Bayucca Thank you !!. Yes.. it's because of the camera flash that the color looked reddish but the actual color is more likely a shiny metallic gold. Thanks Vinny , Ingrid3 and VivBraznell!
Scarabaeoidea, Scarabaeidae and Cetoniinae. My closest guess would be Phaedimus sp., male and a similar one from Luzon would be Phaedimus mohnikei, male. However, yours has a mostly reddish appearance, at least in picture #1, the 2nd one has more green. Do you used flash in the first one? Tricky one! Maybe I am even wrong with the genus. You might need a local beetle expert for that one. female Mohnikei: http://projects.biodiversity.be/openup/rbins/2801.jpg Other ones: http://projects.biodiversity.be/openup/rbins/2802.jpg http://projects.biodiversity.be/openup/rbins/2803.jpg Some links to scroll, starting with Phaedimus cumingi on the right side, then continue for other Phaedimus, but non with the reddish color showing in yours... http://projects.biodiversity.be/openuprbins/search?page=448
