Field Notes

Description:

A small kind of beetle, just about 5mm large, black with a prominent red head

Habitat:

spotted at Bukit Nanas rainforest park in Kuala Lumpur

Notes:

There was a full family of these guys around, about 6 of them in a banana tree, flying around and sucking the tree
