Hi auntnance123, these are Scarabaeidae of the genus Oxythyrea - would those have been found in germany I'd say Oxythyrea funesta (because of the white spots on the pronotum), but since I don't know if there are similar species in Portugal I leave it with Oxythyrea sp. :)
