Field Notes

Description:

Small bird...looks like a flycatcher. head and chest covered by blue feathers; rest of the body is ashy grey. Thin, pointed beak. It was raining and light was not good enough for a better photo.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. About 3 hours drive from the coordinates shown. Remote hilly forested area. Himalayan foothills.

Notes:

I thought this was a Verditer Flycatcher. (Eumyias thalassinus)..but it is not uniformly blue and is missing the black patch across the eyes.
