Field Notes

Description:

These tiny birds stayed well inside the bushes...only this one poked its beak and head out and I clicked. It was quite a bit far away and I have cropped the photo a bit. There is a white eyebrow over the eye.

Habitat:

Village Kolakham; a remote, forested area at an altitude of 1868m in the Kalimpong Hills of Darjeeling District, on the fringes of Neora Valley National Park.

Silver-eared Mesia? This is the only link I found similar to your bird; I don't know how accurate it is. http://www.allposters.co.uk/-sp/Silver-Eared-Mesias-Leiothrix-Argentauris-from-Asia-Posters_i3199360_.htm
