Field Notes

Description:

Small predominantly grey warbler, with a distinctive cap - black for male (photos), and reddish-brown for female (one of my previous observations, here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/971045876 ).

Habitat:

Observed on slopes of Haute Jura, in the Natural Reserve, close to Tiocan, some 870m of altitude. Mixed but predominantly broadleaved alpine forest.

Notes:

I had a hard time photographing that day; the bird was in distance, and light conditions bad... but I managed to light up pics later on a little bit...
