Field Notes

Description:

Slal azur blue butterfly, with a thin blackish line and thicker whitish line at the edge of wings. Some 3 cm or a bit over it in wingspan.

Habitat:

Here, found on edges of our beautiful Bagasse forest (deciduous forest, predominantly oak) on France-Switzerland border, in a valley of lake Geneva, just in between Jura and Alps mountains ranges.

Notes:

Difficult to be certain which blue this is; as many species look alike -I'm opting for a Common blue (Polyommatus icarus), as it is the most common one...
