Description:

Brown, Small, I think its a mantis but the forearms are kinda hard to see properly.

Habitat:

bathroom sink? lol

Notes:

Many Jamaican's don't even know Mantises LIVE in our country (though I've had the advantage of seeing 3 and photographing 2 so far).

I found this thing trapped by water in a bathroom sink at school, I don't usually touch my spottings (or both of our protection really) but I just had to lend this little thing a hand...which it promptly grabbed on to and refused to leave. I ended up having to force it off my arm when I got outside to deposit it in some bushes. :(

Thanks I was trying to zoom in but my camera was NOT working with me that day(might have been because i usually hold it with two hands to steady it when zoomed in, but one hand was occupied). I kind of lost the mantis after I let it go though. So...no pictures

Nice spotting and showing it with your finger gives an idea of size. Next time, perhaps you could try to get a close-up of it, for example, when you put it in the bushes.
