Description:
I decided to finally add a spotting to the Pets category in honor of Spotting #500. I've been thinking about this one and wanted to make it special. That's why I chose my dog, Bruce.
He came to our family via an e-mail plea about 8.5 years ago. A family moved and left him behind, tethered in the yard with no food or water. The woman next door saw him and brought him into her home, yet couldn't afford to feed both him and her dogs. She originally named him George and when we decided to adopt him, we knew we had to change his name and start anew. My wife loved his ears and said they reminded her of a fruit bat, so that led to Batman and eventually Bruce (for Bruce Wayne).
Bruce - also known as Brucie and Brucie-kins - has had a lot of trouble over the last few years with allergies, so he's been on mild medications and special food. I also keep the lawn cut short so the grass won't irritate his skin. I call him our "million dollar dog" because I know we wouldn't take a million dollars for him if anyone offered. He's THAT special to us.
Habitat:
Mostly indoors but occasionally seen out in the backyard.
Notes:
I know I have a lot of other photos of Bruce, but I'm having a hard time finding them in my photo archives. These will have to do for now. :-)
