Description:

Silenes have slender and smooth stems with opposite leaves. Flowers have 5 connate petals, divided at the end, that taper into a tube-like shape, and can be white, pink, red, or purple.

Habitat:

Sandy desert soils; Spotted in St. Katherine's Protectorate, in the spring after a rare rainy season
