Description:

This genus is native to the American tropics, where it is one of the most recognizable components of the rainforest, presently consisting of sixty-one recognized species.

Notes:

Known is Central America as Guarumo, this one is probably Cecropia obtusifolia but is hard to be sure because the most species in this genus are very similar.
