Description:

An attractive melolonthine beetle about 10 mm long with slightly translucent orange elytra , black abdomen, thorax, head and legs.

Habitat:

Spotted feeding on feverfew flowers in a suburban garden-very sunny day.

Notes:

This genus has about 26 species, most of them are gregarious, feeding and mating on flowers. When cold or rainy they are said to hide under or in the flowers. <br> family SCARABAEIDAE <br> subfamily Melolonthinae
