Description:

The ground-colour is generally a light brownish olive, but the lizard can change it to bright red, to black, and to a mixture of both. This change is sometimes confined to the head, at other times diffused over the whole body and tail.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

I've seen many of these lizards but they often don't look alike. Cat Tien National Park.

That's cool Scott. Thanks Neil, this name certainly makes sense as about everyone I see looks different.
Nice lizard Dan! I like the common name - Changeable. That's great. :)
No, not here. Well lots of geckos, skinks, forest dragons, monitor lizards, pythons, various other snakes, including death adders, and crocodiles (although have to get further inland to be sure to see them)...
Thanks Scott, I was hoping you would see this. The variation is really incredible with these guys. Are these around where you live? What are some of the reptiles you see the most around your place?
Dan, you may be correct. There aren't that many agamids there apparently. in case you didn't get it during your visit, you can download a list of reptiles from Cat Tien National Park here from http://www.namcattien.org/reptiles.htm
