Field Notes

Description:

Small stripped squirrel with long tail. Loves nuts and will eat Tulip bulbs He is omnivirous. He carries a large amount of food in his cheek pouches particarlly when is is hoarding or storing up for winter

Habitat:

Woods. He makes a burrow and has one litter of babies in a year which are on there own after two weeks. Through their hoarding they play a crucial role in seeding.

Notes:

This fellow was hiding in a crevice under a rock in my son's garden and didn't think he could be seen.
