Description:

Herbaceous perennial plant. The large, roughly triangular fronds are produced singly, arising upwards from an underground rhizome, and can grow up to 1-3 m tall.

Habitat:

Light forest and disturbed areas (e.g. after deforestation).
Is considered an invasive species in many european areas.

Notes:

The whole plant is poisonous and its spores are considered carcinogenic.
