Description:

"The common snapping turtle occurs throughout the eastern United States and southern Canada. It is found in a wide variety of aquatic habitats throughout Minnesota..."-MNDNR
This turtle is about 1.5ft in diameter and has moss growing on it's back.

Habitat:

Wetlands, Lakes.

Notes:

This Friend of mine is FIERCE. I caught this while fishing in my favorite lake. took us a long while to control it down and remove the hook from his mouth. I felt sorry for actually catching it. I returned it back to the water asap after the picture.
