Description:
Common squirrel monkeys are like all Totenkopfaffen relatively small primates. They reach a body length from 26 to 36 centimeters, the tail is 35 to 42 centimeters long. The weight is about 0.7 to 0.9 kilograms. The fur of these animals is mainly colored gray green, the belly is lighter. The forearms, hands and feet are stained in most animals orangeade, s at the subspecies S.. Albigena contrast brownish. The face, throat and ear tufts are white, the area around the mouth is dark. The top of the head is gray-green or gray-brown, this color stands between the V-shaped eyes downward.

The common squirrel monkey (Saimiri sciureus) is a small New World primate from the Cebidae (squirrel monkey) family, and native to the tropical areas of South America. The common squirrel monkey can be found primarily in the Amazon Basin, including territories in the countries of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela;[1] a small population has been introduced to Southern Florida, Hawaii, Galapagos and many of the Caribbean Islands.
