The first image does'nt look real. What a capture!
Fantastic spotting of amazing butterfly... Thanks Gary for sharing here on Project Noah..
SandiSawyerr, yea, I was stunned when I looked at this picture! When it flies fast under sunlight, the fast-moving shiny neon blue color makes it like electricity flowing through the air! Therefore, it has a Chinese common name called 電蛺蝶, which means "Electric butterfly". Sorry that I haven't done any measurement with this butterfly, I have checked the field guide, It has a wingspan of about 70mm, hope this information helps~ :)
how big was it? (it even has glowing blue eyes, it looks like, amazing!)
UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS!!!! it looks like it has neon blue lights glowing around the edge of it's wings!
thank you! It is truly a beautiful butterfly! :)
Your first picture has my granddaughters favorite colors!
