Field Notes
Description:
Cap is yellowish tan and about 10cm dia. with a wavy margin. Gills are yellowish and crowded. Stem has fine brown hairs.
Habitat:
Spotted on a rotting log at
Point Defiance Park.
Notes:
An industrious spider is using the mushroom to stabilize it's web and catch prey attracted to the fungus. I never found the spider.
