If the one on the right is a decoy it is a pretty copy of the real thing.
Funny all look like decoys except the one on the right. See how the markings are different and it's head is more forward not like the others, bill is shorter, the necklace is in the correct location and the slashes on the flanks are not there. Also the wings are more settled.
The bird all the way on the right looks real. :-) A Brant.
Don't feel too bad! Most birders have been fooled by them at least once!
Decoys? - Serrriously?! Grrrrr @ hunters. And silly me for trying so hard to ID them. :(
Okay yes, the suggestion is more of a joke, but these look like plastic decoys hunters use to attract waterfowl. These ones resemble Brant Geese. You didn't notice them moving did you?
