Field Notes

Notes:

This beautiful and good-natured diamond python came into our care after being dumped at Australia Zoo's security office. It is a young adult and probably an unwanted pet, as it is very tame, healthy and not native to our local area. It will stay with us until the Zoo finds a permanent home for it as it is not suitable for release into the wild. We used to care for diamond pythons a lot when we lived in Sydney, so it's a pleasure to have this guy on board with us for a while.

Great photos and story, Shanna. How could someone dump such a beauty? I hope it found a loving home.
