Field Notes

Description:

This dragonfly flew over the pool for hours and I saw some others of the same kind in other pools doing the same thing: turning around quickly in circles at the centre of the pool. What called my attention was its remarkable whiteness. It may be of the same kind as the posted in the previous spotting, however - maybe because of the way the sun shone on the bright parts of its body - these ones seemed to be particularly white and shiny.

It may be Karen, although I never thought they would choose either pools or places full of people. And Jellis, you are right, I will switch pictures. Strangely, I liked the first one best though. Greetings to both.
Really interesting! At a guess I would say it was a female ovipositing her eggs.
I would put either the second or third photo first. You can barely see it in the first photo.
