Found this beautiful beetle near a stream in tropical North Queensland, Australia.

Notes:

I'm guessing its in the superfamily Scarabaeoidea

This is a scarab but the taxon is family according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eupoecila_australasiae I spotted some in their pupae http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7719233
