Forest Shrew

While we were out at night looking for herps, we were walking down the road to another pond, and this guy was running down the road at us. The guy in front yelled to us there was a mouse running at us and someone had to catch it. Several people managed to pin it to the ground with a cupped hand, and he bit everyone that did that and got away. Eventually someone grabbed a cloth bag and just grabbed him and threw him in there really quickly. We kept him in a bucket overnight with lots of insects we caught for him. First thing in the morning we photographed him and released him.
