Description:

Frog egg cluster and container

Notes:

After the mallards ate the smaller egg clusters I was tracking I saved this one and put it in a feed pan to see what would happen. It's much larger than the ones I was tracking in the pond so I don't know what species it is. I hadn't seen much change since April 10th but today I noticed that the eggs are developing and several of them wiggled when I moved the cluster. I even saw a very small tadpole in the water. I must have captured it when I took water from the pond to put in this container. I'm looking forward to seeing what these are.
