Field Notes

Description:

It is a beautiful gold scaled moth that has been common for the past week.This one was raised from 4 instar not knowing what it was until it hatched.It fed on some wildflowers and dandelion for about a couple days until it made a cocoon.

Habitat:

This one was bred, but i did see my first and second ones yesterday at my light trap.They can feed on many fruit and weeds that are found in Texas.

Notes:

Took about 1 and a half to 2 weeks to hatch.Has a nice maple pancake look to the scales.
