Description:

Reino Animalia, Filum Cnidaria, Clase Hydrozoa, Orden Anthoathecata, Familia Pennariidae, Genero Halocordyle.
This species forms colonies shaped pen, a regular branch. The general color is light whitish due to polyps, although the structure of the colony is beige or dark brown. They measure up to 25 cm in height.
With the stinging cells of the tentacles catches the small plankton on which it feeds.<br><br>
Esta especie forma colonias en forma de pluma, con ramificación regular. El color general es claro debido al tono blanquecino de los pólipos, aunque la estructura de la colonia es de color beige o marrón oscuro. Miden hasta 25 cm de altura.
Con las células urticantes de los tentáculos atrapa el pequeño plancton del que se alimenta.

Habitat:

Costa rocosa Mar Mediterráneo. Cabo de Palos.
