Field Notes
Description:
A small, (10mm) fly with large touching red eyes, yellow mouth parts, black and blue thorax, very short yellow and black banded abdomen; yellow legs, black feet. Quite colourful.
Habitat:
Suburban back yard on lemon tree.
Notes:
Light was very poor. It stayed there for several hours.
